Our friends at WTBR approached us with a creative partnership for Episode 1 - On Silent Ice which tells the story of Anthony, a hockey champion who founded the Deaf Hockey Association to amplify the talent of deaf and hard of hearing players across Canada. And to get new players drafted to the CHL using Live Transcribe.
With our pencils on fire, we designed and animated over 50 frames in a matter of weeks. Our use of surrealism, impossible camera moves and a non-linear timeline pushes the boundaries of what an animated documentary can be.
