Pencils down
We ended 2024 in good company. The Oddfellows flew to Lake Tahoe, CA to reflect and reconnect. We hiked, we hugged, we cold plunged, played silly games, and even fed tiny birds from the palm of our hands.
We left with full hearts, a few new inside jokes, and the kind of energy that makes stepping into 2025 feel pretty darn good.

A 25th mentee milestone
Since 2020 our mentorship program has set out to increase opportunity and representation for Black artists within the design and animation industry.
As we wrap our Summer session, we’re happy to have been a part of the creative journey of 25 young creatives. Looking forward to kicking off our fall session soon.
Home sweet studio
Previously a candy distributor – think Dunder Mifflin but with PEZ instead of paper – we worked with Casework and Green Rabbet to transform our headquarters from the ground up. We created a space that felt more like a home studio than a corporate office with nooks and crannies to dream, draw, and drift away…
Away from keyboard
This summer we spent a day in the trees. The whole Oddfellows team flew in from all over to reunite, reconnect, and rekindle the odd-spirit. In a fully remote work world, the face-to-face hang felt refreshing. Plus, look how dang graceful Jarratt is!

Our six-part newsletter, dedicated to exploring questions, aesthetics, and communal dialogue concerning artists’ mixed feelings about AI and creativity, is an open space for exploring all angles surrounding Generative AI and the future of design and creativity.
It’s raining pencils
2024 has been a big year for awards at Oddfellows. Our work on Google Playgrounds picked up over 12x pieces of hardware including 3x One Show Pencils, 3x D&AD Pencils, an Andy, 5x ADC Awards, and 3x Shorty Awards. Congrats to Google and the entire team!
